Eflow scf electrionic nebulizer. Significantly Reducing Your Nebulizing Time!

What you need to know:

The new Touch Spray™ technology utilizes a vibrating membrane technology for liquid aerosol generation. The result is a low-velocity aerosol with a precisely defined range of droplet sizes.

The technology platform combines two key nebulization principles - a high percentage of the delivered dose within the respirable range and a high flow rate - to significantly reduce nebulization times.

Features include:

  • Fast Treatments Due to High Output Rate (.73 ml/min)1
  • High Delivered Dose (DD) 63% 2 and High Respirable Dose (RD)
  • Targeted Aerosol Delivery Due to Low Velocity Aerosol and Narrow Geometric Standard Deviation (GSD 1.51)1
  • Low Residual Volume 0.7% 3
  • Single Pass System, No Recirculation During Nebulization
  • No Change In Concentration in Medication Reservoir During Treatment
  • Inhalation by Spontaneous Breathing

No compressor or propellant required

Small - fits in the palm of your hand

Lightweight - 9.5 ounces with batteries

Silent - no noise during treatments!

Is It Available?
The eFlow® SCF was cleared for marketing and use by the FDA on May 5, 2004. It is available exclusively through The Respiratory Disease Network (RDN), a group of specialty pharmacies created to better address the specific needs of people affected by CF. Their trained staff of pharmacists currently support over 200 CF physicians currently prescribing the eFlow® SCF for their patients.
What Medications Can Be Used In It?
The FDA has cleared the eFlow® SCF for use "with patients for whom doctors have prescribed medication for nebulization. The eFlow is intended for adult and pediatric patients." For the medications you should use with the eFlow® SCF, please consult your physician.

At the center of eFlow® SCF is Touchspray Technology, a novel technology that uses a vibrating stainless steel membrane to silently generate aerosol particles. As part of the Aerosol Head, this membrane has thousands of laser drilled holes which give uniform sized droplets. Patients receive the best of both worlds: a high respirable dose in a short amount of time.

Before the patient inhales, a dense aerosol cloud forms in the Aerosol Chamber. Upon inhalation, this aerosol cloud (bolus) is delivered to the patient leading to high Delivered and Respirable Doses.

We have surveyed over 120 eFlow patients . . . Here is what they had to say!

  • 80% are experiencing treatment times of under 6 minutes with the eFlow® SCF, compared to only 11% with their old nebulizers.
  • 97% of those surveyed ranked a shorter treatment time as a "very important" or "somewhat important" feature.
  • 96% of those surveyed ranked portability of the nebulizer / compressor system as a "very important" or "somewhat important" feature.
The eflow is the best device to come along in years. It makes doing my daughter's nebulized meds so much easier. Instead of spending 30 minutes to an hour every morning and evening we can do everything in 10 minutes or less - If we are running late, we can take the eflow with us in the car. It is a device I would highly recommend to anyone.

SourceCF is among the best and easiest to work with in getting supplies and a new compact eflow nebulizer. They rushed to get me everything I needed for a trip to the far side of the planet in New Zealand. The equipment worked great. It was lighter, more compact, faster, and more efficient than anything I have ever used. The customer service is the friendliest and easiest to work with, when reordering meds. I love them.

I've had my E-Flow machine now for about four months and love it! It makes my breathing treatments so much easier and still delivers a powerful dose of medication! It is also lightweight and portable making it very easy to travel with - thank you!!

More Satisfied Customers . . .

  • The eflow has improved my life extremely for the better. It has given me such more time to live a normal life and now I consistently do my treatments every day and never skip a treatment. I would just like to thank you and all of the scientists who have made this extraordinary device, which improves the quality of life of adult CF patients. I used to feel like a prisoner with having almost three hours of my day taken up by treatments. Now I almost feel like a normal person and it's thanks to eflow and the wonderful people who created it. Thank you sooo much!
